Our Professional Staff
Our instructional staff is made up of a cross section of individuals from all facets of the game. The core of the staff is made up of qualified experienced coaches and players or former players from Professional, University, College, Junior, European or various minor hockey organizations.
Many are former students and all are qualified to teach or assist in the implementation of our program and its philosophies. The core of the staff are assisted by various Professional Players and minor hockey players on a mentoring basis.
Although the program is updated each year, this year our program has been redesigned by Dan MacDonald (Dan has coached in the Western Hockey League, Alberta Junior Hockey League, was Head Coach at Red Deer college and led the Red Deer Optimist Chiefs Midget AAA team to the Air Canada Cup 4 out of the 5 years he was Head Coach).
Dan has redesigned the program using the latest age specific success oriented drills to maximize player development and enjoyment.
All of our camps (Sylvan Lake & Jasper) offer this newly designed program in beautiful towns that allow for enjoyment outside the arena.

Mike Moller
Mike is one of the longest serving instructors on our staff and we are proud to be associated with him. Mike's knowledge of our program and his coaching ability gives the students top quality on-ice instruction.
Mike was drafted in the 2nd round, #41 overall in 1980 by the Buffalo Sabres. He played for the Sabres, Edmonton Oilers as well as a couple of stints in the AHL.
In 1982 Mike was a member of the Canadian National Junior Team where he scored the Gold Medal winning goal. He led Team Canada in scoring, was 4th in scoring in the tournament and was named to the All-Star Team.
Mike continues his involvement in hockey serving on the Red Deer Minor Hockey Board and coaching minor hockey as well. Mike also provides color commentary for Red Deer Rebels home radio broadcasts.

Sean Burke
Sean's involvement with the student goaltenders ranges from on-ice sessions to classroom sessions. The program varies with his schedule but Sean's input has helped mold our goaltending program.
Sean was drafted 24th overall in 1985 by the New Jersey Devils. His career is highlighted by a silver medal at the 1992 Winter Olympics and he's played in the 2001 and 2002 NHL All-Star games.

    Glen Goodall
Glen has been a key instructor in our morning ice sessions and also speaks to the students in a classroom session. Glen's love for the game rubs off on the students and he makes sure the ice sessions are fun and rewarding.
Glen was drafted 206th overall in 1988 by the Detroit Red Wings.
His Junior career in Seattle spanned six seasons where he smashed scoring records and remains one of the most popular players in Seattle Thunderbirds history.
Glen played in the IHL and AHL but found a home in Germany moving all the way up to the top division DEL.

Brian Bradley
Brian works one of our weekly Sylvan Lake Sessions each summer and his on-ice sessions are first rate. Brian's experience gives the students a week to remember.
Brian was drafted 51st overall in 1983 by the Calgary Flames. He played for the Flames, Vancouver, Toronto, and Tampa Bay. His best season was 1992-93 when he scored 42 goals and represented the Tampa Bay Lightening in his first NHL All-Star game.
Brian also played for Team Canada at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary and in 1985 averaged 2 points a game, helping Canada win the Gold Medal at the World Junior Championships.

Peter Vandermeer
Peter joined the Montreal Canadiens for the 2005-2006 season after 10 years in the AHL and ECHL. Peter is a highly valued instructor in our staff and his coaching style fits in with our ideal of hockey should be fun. We are proud to have Peter on our staff where he gets the opportunity to pass on his knowledge to our customers.
